12Play Review 2026: Is 12Play Legal in Singapore & Malaysia?

12Play review: we could not verify an operator or licence. Is 12Play legal in Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand? No. Facts, legal position and risks.

EDITOR NOTE – delete before publishing: Please double-check (1) that no licence, regulator or operating company for 12Play is published anywhere authoritative (we found none in regulator, Wikipedia or trade-press sources; only affiliate and promotional review sites, which we did not use); (2) that the main 12Play web address redirected (HTTP 302) to a numbered variant domain on 23 October 2026, and that the page we received showed only “© 2026 Resources For Every Journey”, no licence, no operator and no age notice – this was checked from our research tool’s location and may look different from Singapore or Malaysia; (3) the Trustpilot profile figures (claimed in September 2022, 31 reviews, TrustScore 2.0, listed location United States) – https://www.trustpilot.com/review/12play.com; (4) that 12Play is not mentioned on the 12BET Wikipedia page and we found no source linking the two brands – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/12Bet; (5) that Malaysia’s anti-online gambling bill still has not been enacted (latest we found: drafting announced February 2026; not tabled in the January–March 2026 sitting) – https://igamingbusiness.com/gaming/malaysia-deputy-prime-minister-draft-bill-illegal-igaming/ and https://brightsideofnews.com/gambling/regulation/malaysia-2026-anti-online-gambling-reform/; (6) Singapore penalties and Singapore Pools – https://www.gra.gov.sg/harm-minimisation/unlawful-remote-gambling-activities.

Quick answer: 12Play is an online gambling brand widely searched in Singapore and Malaysia, but we could not verify the company behind it or any gambling licence it holds. It is not licensed by Singapore’s GRA or any Malaysian or Thai authority, so using it from any of those countries is against the law.

This 12Play review is an independent fact check, not an endorsement. We looked for who runs 12Play, whether it holds a licence, and what the law says about using it from Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Where we could not confirm something from a reliable source, we say so plainly.

What is 12Play?

12Play is the name of an online casino and betting brand that people in Singapore and Malaysia frequently search for, often as “12Play Singapore” or “12Play Malaysia”. Beyond that, reliable information is scarce. We found no Wikipedia article, no regulator record and no trade-press coverage (iGaming Business, SBC News, Insider Sport or Gambling Insider) that describes 12Play, its owners or its history. Almost everything published about the brand comes from affiliate “review” sites that earn money from sign-ups, and we did not treat those as fact sources.

Two things we could check directly:

  • The main web address redirects. When we checked on 23 October 2026, the main 12Play web address sent visitors on to a different, numbered variant of the domain. The page we received named no company, showed no licence and carried no age or responsible-gambling notice. Its only legal line was a copyright notice for “Resources For Every Journey”, which is not a legal entity name. Redirects to changing domains are a common sign of a brand working around blocks.
  • Customer reviews are poor. A Trustpilot profile for 12Play was claimed in September 2022. At the time of checking it had 31 reviews and a TrustScore of 2.0 out of 5 (“Poor”), with 87% of reviews at one star, and the company had not replied to negative reviews. Trustpilot lists its location as the United States, which we could not verify.

12Play should not be confused with 12BET, a separate Asian-facing bookmaker that, according to Wikipedia, is run by Pexcellent Services Ltd B.V. under a Curaçao licence and has sponsored English football clubs. The 12BET Wikipedia page does not mention 12Play, and we found no reliable source linking the two brands.

Who licenses 12Play?

We could not find a gambling licence for 12Play from any regulator. The page served from its main web address showed no licence number or regulator, and no regulator or trade-press source we opened named one. Affiliate sites make various claims, but we could not confirm any of them, so we do not repeat them here.

Just as importantly, we could not find a licence from Singapore’s Gambling Regulatory Authority (GRA) or any Malaysian or Thai authority. Even if 12Play does hold an offshore licence somewhere, an offshore licence does not make it legal to use the service from Singapore, Malaysia or Thailand.

Is 12Play legal in Singapore?

No. Singapore Pools is the only operator licensed by the GRA to offer remote (online) gambling. 12Play is not licensed by the GRA, so it is an unlawful remote gambling service in Singapore. Taking part in unlicensed remote gambling while in Singapore is an offence: an individual can be fined up to S$10,000, jailed for up to six months, or both. Advertising or promoting unlawful gambling to people in Singapore is also an offence under the Gambling Control Act 2022, which is why this page carries no links or offers. For the wider picture, see our guide on whether an online casino Singapore players use can ever be legal.

Is 12Play legal in Malaysia?

No. Online gambling is prohibited in Malaysia under the Betting Act 1953 and the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953, and Malaysia has no licensing system for online casinos, so no online casino can be legally licensed there. The Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) blocks gambling sites and reportedly blocked over 5,000 of them between 2022 and early 2025. The government announced in February 2026 that it was drafting an enforcement-focused anti-online gambling bill, but it had not been tabled as of March 2026, and we found no report of it being enacted as of October 2026. Existing laws are still being used to prosecute people who gamble on their phones. Read more in our online casino Malaysia legal guide.

Is 12Play legal in Thailand?

No. Online gambling is illegal in Thailand under the Gambling Act B.E. 2478 (1935). Only the government lottery and licensed horse racing are legal forms of betting. The Entertainment Complex Bill dealt only with land-based casinos and was withdrawn in July 2025. See our online casino Thailand guide for details.

Risks of using 12Play

  • No local regulator to complain to. With no verified licence and no licence from the GRA or any Malaysian authority, there is no local body that can help you if a dispute arises or money goes missing.
  • Blocked and copycat domains. The brand’s main address already redirects to a numbered variant. Shifting domains make it hard to tell a genuine site from a copycat built to steal deposits or personal details.
  • Payment problems. Unlicensed sites often rely on informal bank transfers, e-wallets or agents. Payments can be frozen, reversed or simply not returned, with little recourse.
  • Legal risk. Players themselves can be fined or jailed in Singapore and prosecuted in Malaysia, not just the operators.
